1. Scope
This policy applies to everything you run on our services, including sites, apps and domains, and to everything your users and visitors do with them. You are responsible for that, even when someone else did it with your access.
2. What is not allowed
- Content or activity that is unlawful in the Netherlands or that infringes the rights of others, such as copyright, trademark or privacy rights.
- Material that sexually exploits children, incites violence or terrorism, or discriminates against people. We report this to the authorities.
- Malware, phishing, fraud and pages that imitate another business to deceive people.
- Spam: sending unsolicited bulk messages or using purchased lists from our services.
- Attacking, scanning or probing systems that are not yours, including denial of service and brute-force attempts.
- Running open proxies, anonymising services or cryptocurrency mining.
- Hiding who you are, or giving false details when you register a domain.
3. Fair use of resources
Services run on shared resources. If your use puts the stability of the platform or the service to other customers at risk, for example by using far more processing power, memory, storage or bandwidth than agreed, we contact you first. We then agree on a fix, such as optimising the site or moving to a larger plan. We may limit your use at once if there is an immediate risk.
4. Keeping things secure
Keep the software you run up to date, unless we manage the updates for you. Keep passwords and access private, and tell us at once if you suspect a break-in. If your site is compromised and harms others, we may isolate it until it is clean. We help you clean it, within the scope of your plan.
5. Reporting abuse
If you think a site or a domain we host is being abused, write to [email protected] with "abuse" in the subject line. Help us act quickly by including:
- The address (URL), email or domain involved.
- What the problem is, and which law or right it concerns.
- Evidence, such as screenshots, message headers or logs, with the date and time.
- Your name and a way to reach you.
To report a security vulnerability in our own systems, write to [email protected] with "security" in the subject line instead.
6. Notice and takedown
When we receive a report about unlawful content, we look at it, and we pass it to the customer concerned so they can respond. If the content is clearly unlawful, or if a court or authority orders it, we remove it or block access to it without delay. We keep a record of the report and of what we did.
7. What we do about it
What we do depends on how serious the case is:
- We ask you to fix the problem within a set time.
- If you do not, or if the problem is serious, we remove the content or suspend the affected service.
- In the most serious cases or after repeated breaches, we end the agreement. You then owe the fees for the remaining term, and we do not refund fees you paid.
In urgent cases we may skip steps. We explain our reasons afterwards. We may share information with the police or other authorities when the law requires it or allows it.
8. Changes
We may update this policy as abuse changes. Changes are announced the way the terms and conditions describe. Questions? Write to [email protected].
